We recently went to a property where a snake had been found by the owner and her pet dog had come between her and the snake in a protection mode. The dog naturally shook the snake and on release the owners were unsure whether the dog had been hurt.
Calling the family Vet the pet lovers were told to bring the dog down and the offending snake.
Please NEVER attempt to handle a snake. Most vets are equipped with tests to highlight what type of snake has given a bite without the snake.
Snake’s that are in this situation will be highly agressive and more harm may come to your family if approached.
